Streaky Bay to Ceduna

VENUS BAY to STREAKY BAY, S.A.

Well Hi there all again.... today we did a bit of sight-seeing trip around and saw some lovely places.

While in Venus Bay we saw some nice sights like these dolphins off the cliff who just kept showing off forever -

Further along this road, we came to a place called Whistling Rocks and The Blowholes.  Greg found it far too tempting and climbed down the tree roots to see inside "The Pot"

*As all boys have to do!*

Whilst in "The Pot" he thought I looked pretty good from a distance too!....

The South Australian coastline is really
very spectacular, with lots of hidden
areas that just take a little time to
find.

(or be game enough to climb into!)

Continuing on we found more treasures in the way of rocks & caves, sand hills and waves (with lots and lots of wind!)

 Tahlia Caves

Cape Bauer

Driving into Streaky Bay, we decided that this would be a nice place to stay for a few days too:-

Coming into town, we found the Hotel/Motel (of course you do with a caravan in tow!)

 And the Council Chambers!

We  stayed at Streaky Bay Sth Aust (for those of you who need to check where we are *Hi Sue*)
and found something for you Kel (just in case you want to change jobs!)

While here, we went for a drive to a few different places.  The wind was pretty strong and we didn't get to do any fishing as we thought we might because we couldn't find a charter and also because of the wind too.

How these plants survive is a truly complex
effort.  They seem to just spring up out of
small grains of sand and then develop into full
blown plants, complete with flowers and a
beauty all of their own.

Evening sunset while waiting for dinner to cook brought this lovely pic of the pelicans coming in for the night:

A lazy day of sightseeing/reading/wish it could be fishing but probably washing for tomorrow .............
